If you
read this headline without the slightest feelings of doubt
then you have fallen hook line and sinker for the best
marketing angle in the weight loss industry today?and that is
the ?It?s not you, it?s your metabolism? line that so many
people use to get you to buy their diets and their diet
supplements.
The worst part is, they?re not even using
the word ?metabolism? correctly.
Metabolism is the word
scientists use to describe all of the chemical reactions that
go on in your body.
Metabolic rate is a way of
describing the amount of calories your body burns on a daily
basis.
Outside of exercise, there is virtually nothing
you can do to change your metabolic rate or your metabolism to
any significant degree. In other words, your body has a fixed
number of calories it will burn in a day no matter what you
eat.
There are no magical metabolism-boosting foods or
diet plans. Things like caffeine and other stimulants can
cause you to burn a FEW extra calories per day, but when I say
?a few? I mean it.
Caffeine might cause you to burn
30-40 extra calories in a day, but that?s only the difference
between have a couple extra sips of a regular coffee in the
morning. In fact, even if the caffeine in a cup of coffee were
able to raise your metabolic rate by 100 calories in a day
this would still not enough to make even the slightest dent in
your body fat.
Forget about trying to ?boost
your metabolism? with your diet and focus on an easy
diet plan that allows you to enjoy food while eating less.
Eat Stop Eat is an incredibly easy diet plan that is
designed to help you eat less without sacrificing all the
foods you like to eat and forcing you to find magical
?metabolism boosting? foods to replace them with.
Give
Eat Stop Eat a
try and find out for yourself how easy it is to eat for weight
loss and never worry about your metabolism again.
